Its finally here the start of the F2 Season!, It’s been a long time coming since we saw Oscar Piastri win the F2 2021 World Champion, and Prema with the constructors championship.

Qualifying
Virtousi Racing Rookie Jack Doohan took the first pole position of this year, with an almost empty track saw him clock a time of 1:40.542 due to majority of the field were in the pits changing their tyres.
Sitting second is ART Theo Pourcahire and in third Hitech Juri Vips.
But before they could start qualifying within a minute of starting Iwasa brought out the red flag within 20 seconds of starting.
The grid from qualifying looked like this, while it is the grid position for Sundays Feature race, Saturdays Sprint race saw the first 10 reversed. Thus Felipe Drugovich sits on pole for the sprint Race

Sprint Race
Richard Verschoor gave Trident’s first Formula 2 win for the first race of the season, taking place in Bahrain. Verschoor was able to create a lead from the start ahead of Jehan Daruvala and Liam Lawson, whom were pre-season title favourites. Overtaking Felipe Drugovich whom had a slow start off the line crucial to Trident’s win today.
Jehan Daruvala tried as he could to challenge Verschoor but was caught in a battle with Ralph Boschung for most of the race for third but Boschung dropped off positions from podium down to P4 at the end of the race.
A suprise towards the end saw Carlin’s Liam Lawson to secure a podium place ahead of Boschung, with the reverse polesitting Felipe Drugovich in 5th. Carlin’s Logan Sargeant and Hitech Juri Vips finished sixth and seventh respectively and finishing the last spot for points today was a surpise of Ayumu Iwasa as mentioned did not classify yesterday due to causing a red flag at the start of qualifying, he produced an amazing drive from last to eighth.
Fastest Lap went to Amaury Cordeel whom finished 17th. With retirements from Jake Hughes, Theo Pourchaire and Marcus Armstrong.
Tomorrow sees Virtousi Rookie Jack Doohan who finished 10th today start as pole position alongside on the front row with him is Theo Pourchaire whom retired from the race early today.
