Welcome to our MotoGP Australian GP Race Live Blog!

If Saturday’s Sprint is anything to go by, we could be in for another thriller at Phillip Island. Marc Márquez claimed victory after an incredible battle with championship rival Jorge Martín. The pair exchanged positions several times before Martín crashed out at Turn 8. The result has turned the title fight on its head, with Márquez now leading the championship by 10 points.

However, Martín’s weekend has taken a devastating turn, with the Aprilia rider ruled out of Sunday’s race following his crash. That leaves Márquez with a huge opportunity to extend his championship lead, but he will still have plenty to contend with. His brother Álex joins him on the front row, while Johann Zarco starts third after a strong qualifying performance.  Home hero Jack Miller will also be one to watch, lining up fourth for his final MotoGP race at Phillip Island.

Aprilia’s challenge has also taken a hit. Bezzecchi and Ogura are the only riders left to represent the manufacturer after Martín was ruled unfit to race and Fernández withdrew due to injury. Phillip Island has already delivered its fair share of surprises this weekend. With changeable weather expected, conditions could play a major role in the outcome.

Can Márquez make the most of his pole position and strengthen his grip on the championship? Or will weather and track conditions bring an unexpected twist to the weekend? With Adelaide is set to host MotoGP from next yearIt’s all to play for at the final MotoGP race at Phillip Island.
