In F3 practice, at the 2024 Barcelona GP, Martinius Stenshorne, with his Hitech Pulse-Eight, led the grid, putting in a 1:28.774. Behind him, Oliver Goethe and Gabriele Minì.

Formula 3 was back and ready to go, from the narrow, tricky streets of Monaco to the aerodynamically challenging track of Barcelona. Barcelona is a track used for in-season testing, because of its wide range of speeds, corners and aerodynamics. This means the teams have more information round Circuit Barcelona-Catalunya.
Round five signifies the midpoint of the 2024 season for the Formula 3 season. However, not everyone was rushing out.
Luke Browning in his Williams liveried Hitech headed out, but only on an exploration lap. Soon returning to the pits where the other drivers waited.
Most drivers were not even in the cars as the clocked ticked down on the only practice session for the drivers. As the time left hit 30 minutes, the drivers began getting ready to head out.
Finally, the cars headed out. Dino Beganovic in the PREMA, leading the way. As Max Esterson left the pits, he had a puff of smoke come from the car. Luckily, it seemed it was only the car getting up to the temperature.
Dino Beganovic was the first driver to do a fast lap. Putting in a 1:29.997. However, it was immediately topped by teammate Gabriele Minì. He put a 1:28.847 on the board. Noel Léon in the Van Amersfoort followed closely with a 1:29.450.
Final 10 Minutes
In Barcelona, the track is always evolving. With the sun out, the times were dropping. Oliver Goethe in the Campos Racing went fastest with a 1:28.810. Meanwhile, Meguetounif had a snap, struggling to keep the car on the road.
Sztuka took a trip through the gravel in his MP Motorsport, damaging the bottom of the car. He headed into the pits where the team tried to get out as much gravel as possible. Then he headed back out.
Next, Martinius Stenshorne put in a lap that was fastest by just over a tenth. the Hitech doing a 1:28.774.
Unfortunately, with five minutes left to go, Mari Boya in his Campos Racing car went wide into turn 1, taking a run through the gravel and into the wall. A red flag was called and the session would not be resumed.
In the end, the session finished with Stenshore in the Hitech in the lead with a 1:28.774. Followed by Goethe with a 1:28.810 and Minì with a 1:28.847.
