Q1 – Verstappen Leads Q1
With the ever-changing weather in the 305 this year, all the drivers head out early to get their first laps in. Piastri set the pace early whilst Albon got another call to the stewards’ office with a pit lane infringement. Despite an unfortunate sprint race result for Verstappen, the new father took the lead just ahead of Norris and Piastri. Leclerc and Hamilton seem to both be struggling in their Ferraris, especially in the final sector.
At just the last second, Hamilton gets himself out of the threat of a Q1 knockout, whilst Norris claimed he hit the wall. Both Aston Martins exit Q1.

- 16. Nico Hulkenberg – Sauber
