25-year-old Carrie Schreiner has made the decision to move away from single-seaters in her racing career. The F1 Academy driver currently competes in her second season. She will turn 26 in September and will be allowed to finish her final season in the series.

When discussing her future, she shared that for F1 Academy drivers, FRECA is a good step post the series. Title winner Marta García and Léna Bühler currently compete in FRECA alongside Doriane Pin, a contender for this year’s F1 Academy title.

For Schreiner

However, for Schreiner herself, she does not believe that “it’s the right choice to go further ahead in single-seaters.” She is currently tenth in the standings.

While she is looking ahead to the future, for now, the German driver wants “to give my best in the F1 Academy and to show what I can do.” For her, “it makes more sense to move to LMPs or GTs again, so let’s see what doors will open.”

In the past, she raced primarily in GTs where she won the Lamborghini Super Trofeo Middle East Pro-Am class in 2018.

She also has experience driving the Nürburgring 24 Hours with WS Racing. In 2021, she achieved a class victory. This year, she finished third with the team in the SP 8T class and 47th overall. 2024 also sees her competing in the Nürburgring Langstrecken-Serie for the fourth time alongside her final F1 Academy campaign.

F1 Academy Round 3 is between 21 – 23 June in Barcelona where they will accompany the Formula 1 weekend. It is here where Carrie Schreiner has it all to play for.
