Alex Dunne has been disqualified from the Formula 3 Imola Quali today.
The MP Motorsport driver was disqualified after his car was reported to the Stewards after a post-session technical inspection. It revealed a potential breach of the 2024 FIA Formula 3 Technical Regulations.
FIA Formula 3 report that Dunne and a representative of the team were called to the stewards, where they were told that #9 “was in breach of Article 1.4 of the Technical Regulations relating to a non-conformity with the front anti-roll bar links”.
Dunne has been removed from the Qualifying results, promoting those who finished behind him up one place in the classification. It also means that MP’s Kacper Sztuka will start the Sprint Race tomorrow on reverse grid pole position. Van Amersfoort Racing’s Noel León will start beside him in second.
