TEREZA BABICKOVA RULED OUT OF SINGAPORE RACE AND F3 TEST

W Series’ Tereza Babickova has been ruled out of the Singapore race due to injury.

This past weekend Babickova was competing in the Formula Regional European Championship (FRECA) at the Red Bull Ring in Austria. During a race on September 10th, the 19-year-old sustained a spinal injury.

W Series is due to return on 30 September in Singapore however doctors have ruled Tereza Babickova out of all racing activities ‘until further notice’, whilst she seeks treatment in the Czech Republic.

In another blow for the young driver, Babickova had been due to take part in a Formula 3 test alongside three other female drivers in Magny-Cours this coming weekend. Her Replacement for the race is expected to be announced in due course and we will keep you updated. However it has been released that Nerea Marti, A Spanish driver for Quantfury W series team will be replacing her for the F3 test at Magny-Cours, it will be Marti’s second F3 Test at the track.

W Series have announced the replacement for Teresa in the F3 test in Magny Cours in the form of Nerea Marti.

“First of all, I hope Tereza has a speedy recovery and I look forward to seeing her back on track as soon as possible.

“I’m super excited to be taking part to this week’s Formula 3 tests. I was offered the same opportunity last year, and it was a really positive day during which I learned a lot. It will be really good to see my progression from last year and of course gain more experience with the F3 car.

“I really appreciate this great opportunity, and I want to thank Bruno Michel and his team, and also W Series for their support. I’m ready for it and I’m going to give my all again!”
