Red Bull Driver Line-up Finalised

After an entire season of rumours, the Red Bull driver line-up for the 2025 season has been finalised. Liam Lawson will replace Sergio Perez in 2025, with Isack Hadjar partnering Yuki Tsunoda in Visa Cash App Racing Bulls.

Dream come true for 2 young drivers

This marks an exciting new era for the Kiwi and French drivers as they are now living out childhood dreams. Lawson who has had a taste of Formula 1 on 11 occasions is happy to have a full-time seat in Formula 1. Aiming to use his experience for an edge over the other rookies.

“It’s been an incredible journey so far. I want to say a massive thank you to the whole team at VCARB for their support, the last six races have played a huge part in my preparation for this next step.”

Whilst for Isack Hadjar, he will join his F2 companions of Kimi Antonelli, Ollie Bearman and championship rival Gabriel Bortoleto. Hadjar may have fallen short in the championship. However, he remains fully focused on helping VCARB get to a higher place in the constructors standings.

Christian Horner and Helmut Marko have both thrown their support behind the rookies. Stating that they will help Red Bull and VCARB dearly next season.

A new era of drivers

With this announcement, the 2025 Formula 1 grid has been completely finalised. It brings with it a new era for the sport. This is as there will be 6 drivers throughout the F1 grid who will be competing in their first full season of tghe sport. Meaning a whopping 30% of drivers will be rookies in 2025. A stat that this a complete 180 from the beginning of 2024, where there were no changes to the grid.

Alongside this, McLaren and AstonMartin are the only two teams who will have the same driver line-up since 2023. Making the 2025 season sure to be an intriguing one.

Sergio Perez’s time at Red Bull comes to an end

Whilst this is a celebratory moment for both Lawson and Hadjar, it marks the end of Sergio Perez‘s time in Formula 1 for now.

For months there have been several rumours floating around the Formula 1 paddock about the Red Bull line-up. Regardless of Checo’s contract extension, the Mexican’s seat has seemingly always been at ‘risk’. Team Boss Christian Horner extended his Thanks to the veteran driver, as he makes his departure from the ever-successful Red Bull family.

Sergio Perez’s time at Red Bull may have not ended in the way he had liked, however, he will leave the team with many priceless memories. Finishing his time with 5 race wins, 29 podiums and 2 World Constructors Championships.
