F1 ACADEMY took to the Miami track once again today for FP2 where Pulling dominated the timesheets.
After a delay in the schedule, the grid set off for a 40-minute FP2 session, following the only F1 practice session of the weekend. In a battle for the top spot, particularly in the final ten minutes, Alpine’s Abbi Pulling held off the rest of the grid with a lap time of 1:59.237, +2.00 seconds ahead of those behind her. Mercedes’ Doriane Pin finished in P2 despite oversteer issues while Tommy Hilfiger’s Nerea Martí crossed the finish line in P3.
Despite facing a momentary setback after slightly grazing the wall, Pulling remained dominant – making her one of the drivers to beat this weekend thus far.
As reported earlier, two thirds of the grid were brand new to the street track. Among these were Pulling and Pin, who remained in the top three after this morning. Joining them was Nerea Martí who, on her first appearance at the track, secured a podium.
With drivers still grappling to master the intricacies of the Miami Circuit, McLaren’s Bianca Bustamante set the initial fastest lap with 2:00.655 seconds. The following ten minutes remained close.
As the session progressed, Haas-nominated driver Chloe Chambers impressed on home soil, climbing up to 3rd. This was not enough, however, and she finished 6th overall.
Our other driver on home soil is Williams’ Lia Block. The driver pulled a flying lap while many cars headed to the pits, gaining a 10th place finish.

While Pin struggled with oversteer issues, the grid also faces issues with track limits. The middle sector is where drivers struggled, which saw crucial lap times deleted. With less than 24 hours to go until qualifying, data analysis and a finer understanding of the track is key.
Qualifying begins at 10:25am local time. Stay tuned to see who will begin where in both races. Pulling aims for the top spot to secure her first official win of the series.
