Following the success of its inaugural season, F1 Academy has announced a seven-race calendar which all will feature in an F1 weekend.
Taking the place of W Series after its financial troubles and its eventual collapse, F1 Academy hit the track in 2023 for its first season.

Racing at seven different circuits with its final due to be shown at this weekend’s F1 race in Austin, the series will now support its counterpart at each of its races.
The 2024 calendar will visit Jeddah, Miami, Qatar, Singapore, and Abu Dhabi for the first time while returning to Zandvoort and Barcelona.
F1 has said the calendar has been designed to span three continents and feature a variety of street and traditional circuits. The racing will be also supplemented with extensive official testing. The testing calendar is yet to be announced.

Susie Wolff, Managing Director of F1 Academy, said:
“I am delighted to announce our seven-round season for 2024. This calendar cements our ambition to become a truly global series, expanding our reach and improving visibility for our mission.
“We want to inspire young girls and women across the globe and show them that there’s a place for them in our sport, and racing alongside F1 will help us achieve this.
“I want to thank all seven promotors for supporting us in our mission and embarking on this journey with us in 2024.”
Wolff was the first woman since 1992 to participate in an official F1 session, acting as William’s test and development driver between 2012 and 2015. She drove the FW36 in both the British and German Grand Prix free practice sessions which, in the latter, she was able to finish the session 15th and two-tenths behind team-mate Felipe Massa.
She was announced as F1 Academy’s managing director on 1 March 2023 due to being a driving force in creating further opportunities for women within motorsport and, more specifically, single-seater racing.
The new calendar looks to further this movement along with actively increasing its publicity after several complaints of the series’ inaccessibility to watch due to the little coverage. However, with the new calendar supporting F1 races, this is now likely to improve.
It was also announced earlier this season that all 10 F1 teams will also support the series with their livery on one car and one driver competing in the series.
Details of the drivers and which team will support each livery are yet to be announced with F1 Academy boasting 5 teams for the F1 teams to choose from.
Stefano Domenicali, President, and CEO of Formula 1 said:
“We created F1 Academy to bring about real and lasting change to ensure young female talent have the right system in place to follow and achieve their dreams.
“In 2024, the F1 Academy will join our race calendar, raising awareness and profile of the series globally and to have F1 liveries on the grid will be something special.”
