WILLIAMS RACING SIGN LOGAN SARGEANT FOR 2023

Thats another seat filled for the 2023 season as Williams Racing sign the American Logan Sergeant to their team to replace the outgoing Nicholas Latifi. All this depends on him acquiring the relevant super license points over the last few races of this season by appearing in Free Practice 1 sessions. Something Williams is sure will happen.

21 year old Sergeant is part of the Williams Driver Academy and is competing in F2 this year for Carlin. He was also in the Williams F1 seat for Free Practice 1 at the Circuit of the Americas.

With some decent wins and podiums across the sprint and feature races of the year, he is currently third in the Formula 2 championship.

Its been 7 years since the last American; Alexander Rossi drove for Marussia in 5 races. The last full season for an American was in 2006 with Scott Speed driving for Toro Rosso.

With 3 races on the calendar next year and the audience numbers continually growing thanks to liberty medias efforts in the country. Welcoming Logan Sergeant to the grid is an absolute no brainer.

With the remaining FP 1 sessions he is booked to compete in, it should bring in the required points for him to become the full time racer in 2023.
