WHO HAS WHAT PENALTY POINTS?

Now we are three races into a new era of F1, here at EF1 we thought it would be a good opportunity to have a round-up of how many points each driver has.

HOW DO PENALTY POINTS WORK IN F1?

Drivers may receive penalty points in F1 from the FIA for any action they deem as dangerous. This can range from ignoring yellow flags, to colliding with rivals, to ignoring instructions to go through the pitlane and just about anything inbetween. Much like road users here in the UK, if a driver accumulates 12 points over the space of a calendar year, you get subjected to a race ban. The last driver to receive a race ban was Romain Grosjean in 2012, for causing a spectacular collision during the start of that years Belgian Grand Prix.
