Sébastien Loeb and Cristina Gutiérrez have won the second season of Extreme E for Lewis Hamilton’s team X44 Vida Carbon Racing.

An action packed weekend which saw disqualification for one of their main opponents, Nico Rosbergs team, Rosberg X Racing for having too many team members in the switch zone. They came into the weekend with a 17 point lead.
Third was all that was needed to clinch the title, but it wasn’t all plain sailing. Loeb ran wide at the start when battling with Al-Attiyah demoting X44 to fourth; just outside of the title winning positions. However a 7 second penalty for Andretti for speeding in the switch zone promoted Loeb and Gutiérrez up to third to become champions.
