Speculation has been high regarding the return of FORMULA 1 to South Africa and the Kyalami Circuit, this speculation on a return to the African continent was hightened when F1 CEO Stefano Domenicali visited the Kyalami Circuit earlier this year.
Over the last 24 hours tweets have surfaced stating that the South African GP will be confirmed for 2023 and take place in August. The tweet also confirmed that F1 had signed a deal with DHL for 5 years for shipment of cargo to the region.

Further details have also been posted including minimum ticket prices ranging around 3000 South African Rand, which is around £250.
Another stumbling block for the Kyalami Circuit is that it does not hold an FIA grade 1 license, a requirement to host an F1 event.
With no official announcement from FORMULA 1 regarding a potential South African GP, information at this point should be taken with a grain of salt, however it would seem that a return to South Africa is beginning to look more promising than before.
