The PSCNA USA West went to Burt Brothers Motorpark for Round 4 of the 2025 season. The weekend in Utah did not disappoint. Local favorites made clean sweeps, there was some opening lap chaos in Race 2, and each class told its own stories.
Race 1 Overview
We might not have been trackside for Porsche Sprint Challenge USA West’s Race 1, but the drivers still delivered the action. Matthew Siegal, comfortable at home, laid claim to pole with a 1:52.745 and converted it to a win, both overall and in the 992 Pro/Am class. Scott Blind did the same in the 992 Masters. Jack Parriott topped the Cayman Pro/Am field. Tom Rogers made sure there was more than one hometown hero, this time in the Cayman Masters class.

Race 2 Starts… Then Stops
Race 2 began with drama immediately. A Turn 1 incident between three Cayman entries sent Tim Smith and Greg Herback into the gravel, where they had to wait for assistance from the recovery team. Jack Parriot was able to limp back to the pits but was forced to retire.
After two laps behind the safety car, the race restarted cleanly. Siegal, Blind, and Brannan Hankins formed a trio that began to pull away from the rest of the field. Not one to be left behind, Daniel Hanley soon caught up to form a quartet.

Mid-Race Moves and a Mistake
Jumping from P3 on the grid to the lead before the safety car, Hankins went on to lead until Lap 8. Siegal was then able to reclaim his P1 spot with Hankins itching to get by again. The order then remained line astern: Siegal, Hankins, Blind, Hanley, Mark Wilgus, Mark, Crigler, followed by Cayman leader, Rogers.
On Lap 12, Hankins spun a few corners into the lap. Blind and Hanley were able to slip past, demoting Hankins to P4 overall. The drivers would remain in that order until the checkered flag. Of note, Hankins nearly reclaimed an overall podium, finishing just 0.177s behind Hanley.

Rogers Runs Away with Cayman
With the Turn 1 incident taking out several Cayman contenders, Rogers dominated after the restart. What began as a four-second gap after the restart grew to over 30 seconds by the checkered flag. Gaining even more glory at home, Rogers also received the Good Boy Vodka Fastest Lap award with his 2:00.068 fast lap in the Cayman class.

Post-Race Reactions and Honors
“I’ve done thousands of laps here,” Rogers said. “But it’s great to get it done.”
Blind, after yet another 992 Masters win, said: “We set the car up for a long race… but we held pretty tight until mid-race,” referencing the six-second gap he had behind Siegal.
Siegal completed his weekend sweep with quiet confidence. “I’m glad I could win at home,” he said, while also thanking his team for their effort over the weekend.
Hanley received the Hard Charger award after clawing up to a podium position mid-race.
