Googling how to watch the F1 Academy races? Scrolling the F1 Academy website?
Only to find that the new all-female racing series will only be shown via live timing.
Aka there will be no live coverage of the F1 Academy in the opening rounds.
To say we are disappointed would be an understatement.
It’s a kick in the teeth particularly after the W Series failings.

A Second Thought
Instead fans will have access to live timings on the F1 Academy website and delayed highlight packages (behind-the-scenes access, interviews and race highlights).
But, this footage won’t be available until Monday…
Is it too little too late?
Because it’s only live once, right!
In the debut season of the all-female series, it appears that the correct structures have yet to be put in place. Streaming options appear to be an oversight. An oversight that could cost the series and these young drivers.
Formula 1’s goal to help aid the development and progression of young women has hit a challenging hurdle. Making the F1 Academy feels like a second thought…
After the lack of funding to continue the W Series, how is Formula 1 allowing women’s motorsport to get knockback after knockback?
The F1 Academy is supposed to inspire women and give these 15 incredibly talented girls a chance to progress their careers. But how can this be achieved when we can’t even see them racing?
How are these young women supposed to get to the top if they don’t have visibility?
Visibility which is integral when trying to attract funding.
Formula 1 you need to do better.
There is no excuse for the highest level all-female championship to be hidden away.
You’re doing the drivers a disservice.
You’re doing fans a disservice.
And worst of all, you’re doing women a disservice.
