Nina Gademan has been confirmed to take over the Alpine-backed seat in F1 ACADEMY next year following a successful outing as a Wild Card entry in Zandvoort.
Gademan has made waves this year, making her single-seater debut in the F4 British Championship where she scored her first rookie podium during Round 4 at Thruxton. The firsts didn’t end there; the Dutch racer also became the first Wild Card entry to score points in F1 ACADEMY with a 13-point haul at her home race. Next season, she’ll be looking to build on her experience and carry on the winning ways of the Alpine-backed drivers.
Nina Gademan will take over the Alpine-backed seat vacated by Abbi Pulling, who completes her second-and-final season this weekend in Abu Dhabi. The Brit has dominated this season, and looks to secure the Championship this weekend after a cancelled second race last weekend took the opportunity away in Qatar. Pulling will now have three races this weekend to claim the title.
Gademann also becomes the third Wild Card of 2024 to secure a full-time seat in 2025, joining Ella Lloyd and Courtney Crone. Speaking about joining F1 ACADEMY, Gademan says she’s grateful for the opportunity to work with Alpine next season;
“I am incredibly proud to be representing BWT Alpine Formula One Team in the 2025 F1 ACADEMY season,” she said. This is a moment I once thought might never come, and it is a dream come true. Having the support of a team with such an incredible legacy means the world to me. I am deeply grateful for Alpine’s trust and belief in me, and I can’t wait to make the 2025 season an unforgettable chapter in this journey.”
Team Principal of Alpine, Oliver Oakes, says he’s excited to see what Gademan can do over the course of the season;
“We are happy to have Nina coming on board as our F1 ACADEMY driver selection for the 2025 season. It was great to see her step up into single seaters at the start of 2024 and to claim points on her F1 ACADEMY debut as the Wild Card in Zandvoort. We are excited to see what she can do in the series next year. Nina will be a fantastic addition to our line-up of junior drivers, and we look forward to working with her throughout 2025.”
