Meet The 2025 F1 Academy Grid

The 2025 F1 Academy season begins in Shanghai, China on March 21-23.

Prema Racing

Nina Gademan:

Replacing 2024 F1 Academy Champion Abbi Pulling as the Alpine-supported driver, Gademan embarks on her first full season in the series.

Chosen as the wildcard for the 4th round of F1 Academy in Zandvoort in 2024, the Dutch driver scored points in both races.

This made her the first driver to do so, with Gademan also competing in the 2025 Formula Winter Series with Hitech.

Doriane Pin:

Retained by Mercedes and Prema for the 2025 F1 Academy season, 2024 runner-up Pin will hope to take it one step further this year.

Victories in Jeddah, Zandvoort and Lusail saw Pin end the season with 121 points, behind Pulling.

An extensive history has seen the French driver race in multiple categories, including the 2024 FIA WEC season and 2024 Formula Regional European Championship with Iron Dames.

Furthermore, Pin will return to the Formula Regional European Championship in 2025 with Prema, alongside a partial campaign in the Formula Regional Middle East Championship.

Tina Hausmann:

Remaining with Prema and Aston Martin for the 2025 season, Hausmann is set to embark on her second season in F1 Academy.

The Swiss driver finished 10th in the overall standings, with her best finish being 4th in Race 3 at the final round in Abu Dhabi.

Rodin Motorsport

Ella Lloyd:

Entering the 2025 season with Rodin, with support from McLaren, Lloyd sets to join the F1 Academy grid for her first full season.

Alongside her British F4 commitments, Lloyd served as the wildcard entry for the fifth round in Singapore last season.

The British driver finished 6th and 7th respectively, although a false start in Race 1 saw her demoted to 9thposition.

Over the winter break, Lloyd took part in the Formula E women’s test that took place in Madrid, ahead of the 2024/25 season. She placed an impressive 7th overall.

Emma Felbermayr:

Supported by Kick Sauber, Felbermayr is set to make her debut in F1 Academy.

A third-generation racer, Felbermayr’s father and grandfather both competed in the iconic 24 Hours of Le Mans.

Hailing from Austria, the driver will also be competing in the 2025 Formula Winter Series and Spanish F4 Championship with Rodin.

Chloe Chong:

Returning to the F1 Academy grid, Chong will be competing in the Charlotte Tilbury car operated by Rodin.

Making her debut in the series in 2023, the British driver, who was also the youngest in the field, achieved six points-scoring finishes.

Last year, Chong competed in British F4, with her highest finish being seventh at Donington Park.

MP Motorsport

Alba Larsen:

At just 16-years-old, Larsen prepares to make her F1 Academy debut for 2025. 

Mentored by Kevin Magnussen, the fellow Dane was one of four senior category finalists selected for the 2023 FIA Girls On Track Rising Stars programme.

Furthermore, with an extensive racing history, Larsen was crowned the Zealand Champion in junior karting in 2023 and scored points in her two-round appearance of the 2024 Indian F4 Championship.

Maya Weug:

Finishing 3rd in the 2024 F1 Academy Standings, Weug returns for her second season.

Supported by Ferrari, the Dutch driver accumulated 177 points last season and will hope to turn 2025 into a title charge.

In 2021, Weug won the inaugural FIA Girls on Track Rising Stars programme and became the first woman to be inducted into the Scuderia Ferrari Driver Academy.

Joanne Ciconte:

Flying the flag for Australia, Ciconte lines up as the youngest driver on the 2025 F1 Academy grid.

Competing in regional and national karting competitions back home, Ciconte made the move to the European scene, with appearances in series including Spanish F4 and Formula Winter Series.

Campos Racing

Alisha Palmowski:

One to watch for 2025, Palmowski sets to establish herself in F1 Academy this season.

Making a memorable first impression as the wild card entry in Qatar last season, the British driver qualified 6thand 4th, and went on to score P5 in Race 1.

Prior to this, Palmowski had a remarkable run of 10 podiums in the 2022 Ginetta Junior Championship and was also the 2024 Vice Champion in the GB4 Championship.

Chloe Chambers:

Returning to the 2025 F1 Academy grid with Campos Racing, Chambers will move to the Red Bull Academy Program as she is supported by Red Bull Ford.

The American driver finished 6th in the 2024 standings, scoring one win, four podiums and 122 points.

Furthermore, Chambers also holds the Guinness World Record for the fastest vehicle slalom.

Rafaela Ferreira:

Racing outside South America for the first time, Ferreira prepares for her F1 Academy debut, driving the Racing Bulls car operated by Campos.

The Brazilian driver competed in the 2024 F4 Brazilian Championship, securing 4th place in th Championship with three wins, two poles and seven podiums.

ART Grand Prix

Lia Block: 

Returning for her sophomore F1 Academy campaign, Block remains with Williams and ART Grand Prix.

Describing herself as the ‘rookie of the rookies’ last season, the American driver began her first F1 Academy season after just three months of single-seater racing.

Embracing the challenges, Block finished 8th in the overall standings with two P4 finishes in Singapore and 44 points.

Courtney Crone:

Supported by Haas, 24-year-old Crone is preparing for her first full season in the F1 Academy series.

Travelling around California with her father’s racing team from a young age, Crone started go-karting at age three.

The American driver narrowly missed out on points during her F1 Academy debut in Maimi last season yet will be hoping to make a statement this year.

Aurelia Nobels:

Flying the Brazilian flag, Nobels returns to the F1 Academy grid for 2025, supported by Puma.

Finishing 12th overall in 2024, Nobels achieved six points-scoring finished with a best finish of 5th in Zandvoort.

Hitech Grand Prix

Nicole Havrda:

Teaming up with F1 Academy partner American Express, Havrda prepares for her F1 Academy debut with Hitech.

Making her open-wheel debut in 2022, the Canadian driver earned two top-five finishes in the Indian Racing League Championship and netted three titles in the 2023 Formula Pro USA Winter Series.

She then progressed to the Formula Regional American Championship, achieving four podiums finished in her impressive rookie campaign.

Aiva Anagnostiadis:

Embarking on her rookie F1 Academy campaign, Anagnostiadis is set to race with Hitech, supported by TAG Heuer.

Relocating to the UK to pursue her racing dream, the Australian driver was selected as one of six karters for the Alpine Rac(H)er Academy Programme in 2023.

Last year, Anagnostiadis transitioned to single seaters, finishing 10th in the Indian F4 Championship.
