Red Bull and the Orange Army will be delighted as Max Verstappen will start at the front of the grid in tomorrow’s Dutch GP after setting a lap time of 1:10.342.
His teammate Sergio Perez will start in P5 after a spin that brought out a yellow flag.
The Ferraris of Leclerc and Sainz will start behind Verstappen in P2 and P3 respectively.
After their final runs were impeded by the yellow flag brought out by Perez, the Mercedes of Lewis Hamilton will start in P4 while George Russell qualified in P6.
It was an exciting qualifying session for Lando Norris who will start just behind Russell in P7, sadly his Mclaren teammate Daniel Ricciardo was knocked out in Q1 and will start tomorrow’s race from P17.
Mick Schumacher will be thrilled with his qualifying performance today after outqualifying his teammate Kevin Magnussen who was knocked out in Q1 and will start in P18. Mick made it through to Q3 and will line up just behind the Mclaren of Lando Norris in P8 and the HAAS team will be aiming to score points tomorrow.
Yuki Tsunoda also put in an impressive qualifying performance with a 1:12.556 seeing him start in P9 tomorrow. His AlphaTuri teammate Pierre Gasly was knocked out in Q2 and will start in P11.
There was heartbreak for Aston Martin as Sebastian Vettel was knocked out in Q1 with a time of 1:12.391 while Lance Stroll made it all the way through to Q3 he was unable to set a lap time due to a technical problem.
There was also disappointment for Alpine after both of their drivers were knocked out in Q2, Ocon’s 1:11.605 lap time was not enough to see him through to Q3 and therefore will start in P12 with Fernando Alonso just behind him in P13.
Starting at the back of the grid is Nicholas Latifi whose Q1 lap time was 1:13.353, while his fellow Williams of Alexander Albon will start in P15.
Taking P14 and P16 in today’s qualifying are the Alfa Romeos of Zhou Guanyu and Valtteri Bottas, with Bottas being knocked out in Q1 while Zhou made it through to Q2 unfortunately his lap time of 1:11.704 was not enough to see him through to Q3.
