Spa-Francorchamps has already delivered a dramatic start to the weekend, and qualifying is shaping up to be one of the most unpredictable sessions of the season.
Friday belonged to Mercedes, with championship leader Kimi Antonelli setting the pace in FP2 after Max Verstappen topped the opening session. McLaren and Red Bull have remained firmly in the fight, while Ferrari will be hoping to recover after a mixed build-up despite showing encouraging pace throughout practice.
The weekend has not been without drama. Pierre Gasly brought Friday’s second practice to an early end after a heavy crash for Alpine, before Lewis Hamilton found the barriers in the closing moments of FP3 on Saturday morning. Ferrari now faces a race against time to have the SF-26 ready for qualifying.
