Unless you’ve been hiding under a rock, I am sure you have heard that Roman Abramovich has put Chelsea football club up for sale.
One of the leading bids in the purchase of the club is fronted by Sir Martin Broughton who is the former Liverpool and British Airways chairman.
Lewis Hamilton has joined the consortium, with many other backers including Serena Williams. The reports suggest that each of the famous sports personalities have contributed in the region of £10 million each.
The news of Lewis Hamilton joining in with the purchase of Chelsea will be a huge surprise to many, as he actually supports Arsenal.
Hamilton is not new to investing however as he has been involved with several business start-ups over the years. Lewis has been in talks with the group spearheaded by Broughton for several weeks.
