With fluorescent yellow, blobs and fours decked across the cars, Lando Norris has announced the launch of his new racing team and Legacy Programme.
Announced in Italy earlier today, LN4 Fusion is a new racing team co-founded by reigning World Champion Lando Norris. Acquiring AIX Racing, the new fluorescent-yellow team will be on track as early as 2027. With confirmed entries in Formula 3, Formula Regional and Italian F4, LN4 Fusion is also looking to expand into Formula 2 and British F4.
With the goal of bringing awareness to and supporting junior drivers, Norris and the wider LN4 Fusion team have set their sights on helping young talent on the road to Formula 1.
In an Instagram post, Norris declared he was:
“Lucky enough to achieve my dreams and now I want to help others achieve theirs.”
Not just a Racing Team
Alongside the racing team, Norris announced the LN4 Legacy Programme. The Programme, which aims to identify and support young talent while also providing financial backing. Norris, who has acknowledged the financial privilege that allowed him to reach F1, wants to fund talented young drivers who might otherwise not get the opportunity.
The programme, which is personally funded by Norris, will be led by former Alpine sporting director Julian Rouse. The goal is to create an ecosystem of technical and support staff to ensure junior drivers have the team behind them to reach Formula 1.
Norris isn’t alone in backing the project. Brands including TUMI and Quadrant, who both have close ties to the 2025 World Champion, appear across the race cars. Norris has said the team was built with people he trusts, with PREMA’s René Rosin joining the venture as Team Principal.
“Built with people I trust, people who’ve experienced all levels of motorsport and know exactly what it takes to win. The goal is to become the leading junior single-seater team.”
Speaking about the decision to commit to both projects, Norris said that he wanted to
“create opportunities for the next generation, both on and off the track, and hopefully make a real difference to young drivers coming through the sport”.
Long term, LN4 Fusion wants to create future Formula 1 World Champions. However their main goal is championing drivers who otherwise may not have the opportunity. However, Norris isn’t the only current F1 driver investing in the next generation. Outside of team-backed development programmes, Max Verstappen also supports junior drivers through Verstappen.com Racing.
Now the question remains: which junior drivers will be behind the wheel of LN4 Fusion in 2027?
