Joshua Dürksen: F2 Campaign review

Joshua Dürksen debuted with the AIX team for his debut Formula 2 campaign. This marked a significant milestone, both for the young Paraguayan driver and his country. Partnering with FIA Formula 3 graduate Taylor Barnard, Dürksen delivered a season filled with historic achievements and memorable moments.

As Dürksen will continue racing in Formula 2 in 2024, here are some highlights from his 2024 campaign. The young driver will be looking to grow this list of outstanding achievements in the upcoming season.

Key Highlights from 2024

History made for Paraguay

Joshua Dürksen made history by becoming the first Paraguayan driver to score points, secure a podium finish and win a race in an international Formula 2 competition. These moments not only etched his name into the history books for Paraguay, Dürksen was also inspiring the next generation of Paraguayan motorsport. A figure that proved it possible to get into the higher categories of Motorsport.

Maiden Formula 2 Victory

One of the stand out moments of Dürksen’s 2024 campaign came in the form of his Maiden race victory in Baku. Starting from fourth on the grid in the Sprint Race, he delivered a masterclass performance. Not only that, It happened to come around one of the trickiest circuits on the Formula 2 calendar. This clinical drive from the young South American was nothing short of brilliant. Showcasing his ability to navigate the challenges of a highly competitive field, and come out victorious.

Looking Forward to 2025

Dürksen’s decision to remain with AIX Racing for the 2025 season provides a stable platform for further development in the coming season. The Paraguayan will hope to build on his 2024 season with the team. Aiming for consistent top-five finishes and potentially a shot at winning the coveted Formula 2 Title.
