Although the team improved in Australia with both drivers fighting at the front.
The celebrations were kept to a minimum as they try to close the gap to Red Bull. George Russell’s mechanical failure has also led to reliability concerns.

Elliott had originally replaced Allison as technical director in 2021 when Allison moved into the newly-created chief technical officer role.
Elliott will now become chief technical officer in a role he feels his skillset will be better suited.
It means Allison will be attending more race weekends with his determination and drive seen as key factors in his return to the position.
A Mercedes spokesperson told Sky Sports News: “Mike has led a review of our technical organisation to ensure we have the right structure to deliver sustainable success in the future.
Allison will be reporting to Elliott for the remainder of the season at least.

A changing of the guard
The two will have to work well together in order to Mercedes firing again with the team currently third in the constructors’ championship.
They sit way behind Red Bull and a rejuvenated Aston Martin.
Meanwhile 7-time champion Lewis Hamilton sits 4th in the WDC with his hopes of a record-breaking title slipping away.
It has led to rumours that Mercedes may be facing a ‘brain drain’ with several key people departing since last season.
There is also the small matter of Lewis Hamilton’s contract that remains unsigned beyond the 2023 season.
On Thursday, Wolff said in a Mercedes Q&A that the team are now on the “right trajectory” with their car but can they turn it around before the end of the season?
