While the end date is not confirmed, the extension will take the British driver into Season 13 of Formula E. Dennis’ Thoughts
With the news coming five years to the day of his Formula E debut at the Diriyah E-Prix in 2021, Dennis spoke highly of his current team.
“We’ve built something really strong together, and I’m proud to continue that journey with a group of people I know so well and genuinely enjoy working with. There have been so many great memories together, and I’m confident we can continue our success into the future.
Since his debut, Dennis and Andretti have formed one of the longest-running and most successful driver-team pairings in the history of the Formula E. With Dennis also having the most Formula E Grand Slams, 2, and the most Final Duel appearances of any driver, 14. During his championship campaign in 2022/23, Dennis picked up the most points, 229, and podiums, 11, scored in a single season.
Griffiths’ Statement
Roger Griffiths, Team Principal of the Andretti Formula E team, spoke on his partnership with Dennis and how successful they have been so far.
“Jake has been an integral part of Andretti Formula E’s transformation into one of the series’ leading teams of today. His commitment to us, his belief in the team and ours in him, is one of the key reasons for all of the success we have been fortunate enough to have experienced together.”
Griffiths’, who has been Andretti’s Team Principal since they joined the series in 2014, has spoken highly of Dennis in the past.
“He [Dennis] has proven time after time that he is one of the most competitive and talented drivers on the Formula E grid. His dedication has been one of the key components contributing to the ongoing success of our Formula E program.”
