The Canadian GP results, pretty predictable right?
With the pole sitter usually taking the win here in Canada, it was a similar story today with Verstappen taking his 41st win. Accompanied on the podium by Alonso and Hamilton.

Fun fact, 40% of Red Bull’s victories have come from Verstappen. Unsurprising in this era of Dutch domination.
But whilst the top three didn’t change, it was by no means a boring race.
The Upgrades Made A Dent
We certainly didn’t see Verstappen dominate in the same way as previous weekends. Highlighting that upgrades from Aston Martin and Mercedes are making a dent. A small dent, but a dent all the same.
Intense battles were happening across the grid, whilst the old folk certainly kept us on our toes. With a combined age of 79, Alonso and Hamilton proved that they are still young whipper snappers out on track.
And hey, if Max decides he needs a Sunday break we would certainly see a spicy battle for a win…

| DNF | Logan Sargeant | Williams |
Verstappen may have won yet another race, but he didn’t fail to deliver on entertainment. From hitting a bird to laughing at a bumpy ride over the kerb, the same kerb that took rival George Russell out of the race.
The Stewards Didn’t Have Their Punishment Book Out
Qualifying was enough punishment for one weekend as we saw the stewards act with far more kindness today. With many drivers missing out on potential penalties.
But one driver who wasn’t so lucky, was Lando Norris. Taking a 5 second penalty for unsportsmanlike behaviour. Aka driving too slow behind the safety car.
But the real spinner today has to be Hulkenberg, after starting 5th. He had his best chance to score points today and we saw that slowly slip away lap after lap…

Predictable result? Yes
Boring race? Anything but.
