We are back in the Styrian Hills for F1 FP2 of the Austrian Grand Prix, where the session was split up into long and qualifying runs. Teams tried to dial-in the set ups, and had an extra battle with the heat.
Everyone got out of the garages to start FP2, but the clear track didn’t last long. Alex Albon reported that he had no power but made it back to the garage. Perez brought out an early virtual safety car as he also lost power.
Green Flag conditions resumed with 44 minutes on the clock. Lando Norris led from Kimi Antonelli, followed by Oscar Piastri on the long runs.
Cadillac’s day gets worse with Valterri Bottas limping back to the pits with the front of the floor dragging along the ground, ending the No.77’s day early.
Drivers struggle with Turn 3
In this session, drivers were struggling heading into turn 3 and going wide. Both Max Verstappen and Isack Hadjar reported issues on the radio. Lando Norris also had a spin at Turn 3. Watch turn 3 tomorrow in Qualifying.

Kimi Antonelli sets the pace from the McLarens
Antonelli put down a 1:07:014 to top the session from Piastri, followed by Norris. McLaren really turned Friday around compared to FP1. The team seems to be able to take the fight to Mercedes. Verstappen also had a clean session and managed to put his Red Bull in P4.
FP3 kicks off at 11:30 am UK time with Qualifying at 3pm UK time.
