Japanese racer Ayumu Iwasa will continue with DAMS for the 2023 F2 season, it has been announced this morning. The multiple-race winner from 2022 will partner Arthur Leclerc at the French outfit next year and will look to be at the sharp end of the championship after his strong fifth-place finish this year.
Iwasa managed to secure two feature race wins in his debut year in F2, his first coming at Le Castellet and his second in the final race of the season in Abu Dhabi. This was in addition to the four podiums he secured, with a pair of second and third places to add to his impressive debut season.
“I’m really happy with my first F2 season, i learned a lot during the year and we were able to improve at each race. It’s a great feeling to continue with DAMS for another year, i feel at home in the team and we work well together.”
