Christian Ho, the First Singaporean Driver in Formula 3 History

Christian Ho makes history as the first Singaporean to enter Formula 3, joining DAMS Lucas Oil alongside teammates Matías Zagazeta and Nicola Lacorte. Ho transitions from a victorious stint in the 2024 Eurocup-3 season, where he clinched five wins and secured nine podiums across 16 races with Campos Racing.

Previously, Ho finished as the runner-up in the 2023 Spanish F4 Championship, demonstrating his racing prowess with 13 podiums and five victories.

Speaking following the announcement, Ho revealed his excitement to join the French team:

“I’m proud to be the first F3 driver from Singapore, it feels amazing to join DAMS Lucas Oil and I’m raring to go,” said Ho. “I’ve had a strong season Eurocup-3, and I’m aiming to carry this form into 2025. My target is to be competitive in the Championship, which is one of the toughest in the world, so I’ll work with the team to deliver the best possible results.”

Charles Pic, Team Owner of DAMS Lucas Oil, added:

“We’re delighted to have signed Christian, his pace during the test days was impressive and he has a great racing CV.

“It’s amazing for him to be the first driver from his nation to compete in F3. We’re pleased to now have our 2025 line-up confirmed and we’ll continue working hard to be in good shape when we arrive in Melbourne.”

Ivan Domingues Brings back The Portuguese Flag to Formula 3

Ivan Domingues marks a return of Portuguese talent to Formula 3, the first since António Félix da Costa raced over a decade ago. He enters F3 following a successful year in the Formula Regional European Championship by Alpine.

Domingues began his career in single-seaters in 2022, competing in both the Italian and UAE Formula 4 Championships. Over the next two years, his performance steadily improved, leading to two podium finishes and a tenth place in the FRECA series standings last season, all with Van Amersfoort Racing.

“I feel very positive and confident about racing with VAR for the 2025 season in the FIA F3 Championship. It will be my third year with the team and I can’t wait for the start of this new challenge!”

Brad Joyce, VAR Team Principal, expressed enthusiasm about Domingues’ promotion:

“We’re absolutely thrilled to welcome Ivan to our F3 Team for the upcoming season. Ivan has been a part of our family participating in our F4 and FRECA Team already. He has shown great results and determination. We’re confident he‘ll be a fantastic addition to our lineup and we’re excited to work together to achieve more good results on track again and be part of his development.“

With the addition of Christian Ho and Ivan Domingues, the Formula 3 grid for the upcoming season nears completion, with only three seats left unconfirmed.

Both drivers are eagerly anticipated by fans and experts alike, who are keen to see how these young talents will perform in one of the world’s most challenging racing series.
