Aston Martin and Heart of Racing will field two AMR-LMH Valkyries in the Hypercar class at the 2025 24 Hours of Le Mans. The British marque, eager to make an impact, aims for its first victory at the French endurance classic since 1959.

A rule change by the Automobile Club de l’Ouest and the FIA WEC now requires a minimum of two cars per manufacturer. Aston Martin has confirmed a two-car entry for the Hypercar class in the FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC) next season, pending acceptance of its application.
Adam Carter, Aston Martin Head of Endurance Motorsport, stated:
“The Valkyrie AMR-LMH program is on schedule with significant development ahead of the car’s track debut later this summer. We anticipate an intensive testing period to prepare for homologation in the autumn.”
The AMR-LMH Valkyrie will feature a carbon-fiber chassis and a modified Cosworth 6.5-litre V12 engine tailored for the Hypercar class and endurance racing. The development program is advanced, with recent testing at Silverstone and Portimão. The American team Heart of Racing has established operations near the car’s production site in the UK, with Aston Martin Performance Technologies overseeing design and development.
Additionally to WEC races such as the 2025 24 Hours of Le Mans, Aston Martin and Heart of Racing plan to compete in the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship, highlighting Aston Martin’s commitment to endurance racing alongside its Formula 1 efforts.
