Ferrari confirmed that Arthur will drive in the first practice session, taking over from Carlos Sainz, who is heading to Williams for the 2025 season. Arthur, who is following in Charles’s footsteps through the Ferrari Development program had a reasonably successful F2 and F3 career, however he decided to forgo a regular racing seat in 2024 and opted to support the F1 team with simulator work.

Arthur has also been involved in the ill-fated spray guard tests, driving in Barcelona and Fiornao at the behest of Pirelli.

Arthur has seen some racing action competing in the European Le-Mans series, winning an LMP2 class race for Panis Racing DTS in a Ferrari 296GT along side Giancarlo Fisichella and Tommaso Mosca.

The Leclerc brothers FP1, this coming weekend will be the first time 2 brothers have been on track together since Ralf and Michael Schumacher raced together between 1997 and 2006.

Ferrari have an uphill battle in an attempt to clinch the Constructors Title from current leader McLaren, who are 21 points clear at the top of the table.

2025 will also see a big change for Ferrari, with 7-time Champion, Lewis Hamilton joins the team from Mercedes in a multi year deal that took the F1 world by surprise earlier in the year.
