There’s nothing like making something Facebook official, is there?
Franz Tost confirmed during the Canadian Grand Prix that Pierre Gasly would continue with the team, so this morning’s announcement is anything but surprising, however the team have now officially confirmed that the Frenchman will be part of their line up for the 2023 Formula 1 season.
“I have been with this team for five years now and I am proud of the journey we’ve been through together and the progress we have made,” Gasly said.
“I’m happy to remain with my Scuderia AlphaTauri team. This year’s new regulations have created new challenges for us and being able to plan our development with the team for the next 18 months is a good working basis for the future.”
Pierre will be hoping for a better package from the Faenza team in 2023, with the team struggling to extract the most out of this year’s car. However, with a number of contracts right across the paddock expiring at the end of 2023, this is no doubt a perfect arrangement for all parties
