ABB, the official charging partner of Formula E, held a robotics workshop on Friday for girls aged between 12 and 18 as part of its partnership with FIA Girls on Track.

Formula E is not just about the thrill of racing; beyond the high-speed on-track action, Formula E is making strides towards inclusivity and empowerment, particularly through its partnership with FIA Girls on Track.

Recently, ABB, the official charing partner of Formula E, organised a robotics workshop for girls between the ages of 12 and 18. This workshop, held on Friday, aimed to introduce young girls to the exciting world of robotics and programming. At the heart of this initiative was one of ABB’s cutting-edge collaborative robots, GoFa™, designed to foster learning and innovation.

In traditionally male-dominated fields like motorsports and STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics), initiatives like these play a pivotal role in breaking down barriers and inspiring the next generation of female leaders. By providing young girls with hands-on experience and exposure to robotics and programming, Formula E and FIA Girls on Track look to nurture a pipeline of talent and fostering diversity in industries where it has historically been lacking.
