Red Bull junior Liam Lawson has signed with Mugen for the 2023 Super Formula season, joining two-time champion of the series Tomoki Nojiri at the Honda-powered outfit. Mugen is the reigning champion of the series with Nojiri and will be looking to defend this with the addition of the New Zealander for 2023.
Lawson is the first Red Bull junior since his 2021 F2 teammate Juri Vips in 2019 and joins the likes of Pierre Gasly, Dan Ticktum and Pato O’Ward, who have all represented the RB junior team in Super Formula, before taking their next steps in motorsport.
“I’d like to fight for the championship and i’m in the best position with Mugen”
