With the impending cancellation of the Chinese GP, Portuguese media are reporting that Portimao Circuit is set to be added as replacement.
The Portimao circuit was used for the covid affected 2020 and 2021 seasons. The track is an old-school type track with sweeping corners and an undulating track.
The Autódromo Internacional do Algarve track is situated in the Algarve area of Portugal, the track has 32 configurations with Formula 1 using the longest of those available.
According to reports, details of the addition of the Portuguese GP to the 2023 calandar will be confirmed at the World Motorsport Council meeting on 9th December.
