Formula 1 has provisionally announced what tracks will hold a sprint event in 2023
2023 will see the amount of sprint races increasing from three to six. The destination of the six sprints events have been speculated since the FIA announced their plan to increase how many will be held each season.
The six tracks are: (provisionally):
- Azerbaijan Grand Prix – Baku
- Austrian Grand Prix – Red Bull Ring
- Belgium Grand Prix – Spa
- Qatar Grand Prix – Losail
- United States Grand Prix – Austin
- Brazil Grand Prix – Interlagos
Some interesting choices, including a debut for Baku and Spa. The inclusion of Losail might raise a few eyebrows, with the track layout not known for close racing, however 2023 will be the first time at the Losail track since the introduction of the new aero regulations.
