REPORTS FROM THE ITALIAN PRESS ARE SUGGESTING THAT FERRARI WERE LOOKING TO REPLACE BINOTTO WITH ALFA ROMEO TEAM PRINCIPLE
With the 2022 season almost finished and Redbull dominating both Drivers’ and Constructors’ Championships. It would seem that Ferrari could be on the verge of making some changes within the Formula 1 team. Reports from the Italian media stated that Mattia Binotto will be replaced from the team principle’s position and replaced by Alfa Romeo’s current TP, Ferderick Vassuer.
The speculation was so strong that it has prompted Ferrari to deny reports as “lacking foundation”.
As speculation grew, it was “confirmed” that the person to replace Binotto would be current Alfa Romeo Team Principle, Frederick Vassuer. Vassuer may not have been everyone’s first choice, however he does have a relationship with Charles Leclerc, when the Monegasque drove for the Alfa Romeo/Sauber team prior to his move to Ferrari.
Alfa Romeo Sauber and Ferrari also enjoy a technical partnership with Alfa Romeo using Ferrari Power Units.
Will Ferrari make the change and is Vassuer the right choice?
