Welcome to our MotoGP Austrian GP Sunday Live Blog!

The Red Bull Ring has already delivered plenty of drama this weekend, with 28 laps ahead, there is still plenty to fight for in Austria.

Pedro Acosta looked untouchable on Friday, topping both sessions and giving KTM plenty to celebrate at its home Grand Prix. However, qualifying on Saturday saw Jorge Martín taking pole by just 0.015s ahead of Marc Márquez, with Acosta completing an all-Spanish front row.

The Sprint then turned the weekend on its head. Martín dropped from the lead to eighth on the opening lap after a battle with Márquez. Aprilia rider, began working his way back through the field immediately.

Meanwhile, Acosta built a lead of almost three seconds and was on course for a KTM home victory before crashing at Turn 2 with three laps remaining. Martín inherited the lead and went on to take the win, with Márquez second and Marco Bezzecchi completing the podium.

The Sprint win also swung the championship back in Martín’s favour. He heads into Sunday’s race three points ahead of Márquez and on a mission to grow the gap even more. Meanwhile, Acosta will be determined to put Saturday’s heartbreak behind him and get his first MotoGP main race victory.

One of the weekend’s other big stories has been Ai Ogura’s return. The Trackhouse rider missed both the Aragon and San Marino GPs after suffering a hand injury. Ai was however cleared to return at the Red Bull Ring following surgery.

With Martín starting from pole, Márquez alongside him and Acosta looking to put Saturday’s heartbreak behind him, there is plenty still to fight for around the Red Bull Ring.
