Welcome to our MotoGP British GP Live Blog brought to you from trackside at Silverstone!
After almost a month’s break, MotoGP has returned for Round 12 at Silverstone.
It has been a record-breaking weekend so far, but ultimately, it has belonged to Aprilia and Jorge Martín. The #89 rider dominated Saturday, taking the lap record from teammate Marco Bezzecchi before going on to win the Sprint.
Aprilia also made history with its first-ever Sprint podium lockout, with Ai Ogura and Bezzecchi joining Martín on the podium. This followed another front-row lockout for the manufacturer and Trackhouse.
There are also a couple of changes to the grid this weekend. Iker Lecuona is replacing the injured Fermín Aldeguer and Pol Espargaró is stepping in for Maverick Viñales.
With Martín starting from the front and Aprilia looking stronger than ever, can anyone stop the #89 rider from completing a perfect weekend at Silverstone?
With 20 laps ahead, it’s all to play for at Silverstone.
