W Series has announced that its paddock will proudly display the rainbow logo at the fourth race of the 2022 season at Silverstone, UK, on 1-2 July in support of Pride.
Over the course of the Formula 1® Lenovo British Grand Prix 2022 weekend, W Series’ drivers will wear gloves, boots, and fireproofs with the rainbow logo provided by global racewear partner Puma. The W Series logo on their Tatuus T-318 Formula 3 race cars will also change to rainbow for the series’ home race – which coincides with the UK’s biggest and most diverse Pride in London on the 2nd of July.
Sarah Moore and Abbie Eaton of Scuderia W are driver ambassadors for Racing Pride which promotes LGBTQ+ inclusivity within motorsport, and Sarah will also debut a Pride-themed helmet at her home race. On the 26th June last year, Sarah became the first openly LGBTQ+ driver to stand on a podium at an F1 race weekend, and she will be on the hunt for her second W Series podium finish at Silverstone this weekend.
Tilller, Coops and Sophia from the EverythingF1 team caught up with Sarah this week on our weekly podcast. The team look ahead to the weekend at Silverstone with Sarah, and she talks more about Racing Pride, being a driver ambassador and why it is so important. The podcast is available to listen to here.

Sarah is excited to celebrate something so close to her heart;
“We don’t have a race during the Pride Month of June this year, but I still really wanted to do something to celebrate it. I asked for help from Abbi [Pulling] who is great with helmet designs, and the new one incorporates more to do with Pride. It’s more colourful, features the progress flag as well as the rainbow, and still has the Yorkshire rose, an elephant for my mum, and a white tiger for my wife, Carla.
“The rainbow gloves, boots, and fireproofs are a great touch from Puma. I always carry the rainbow, but for everyone else to be carrying it shows that we’re all aligned in the W Series paddock which is great. I’m really looking forward to my home race at Silverstone, and for everyone to be rocking the rainbow with me!”

Richard Morris (Co-founder of Racing Pride, and Chair of the LGBTQ+ Sub-committee at Motorsport UK) is excited to see two of Racing Pride’s ambassadors in action;
“Racing Pride is grateful for W Series’ support for our vision to positively promote LGBTQ+ inclusion through motorsport. We are delighted to have two of our Racing Pride ambassadors, Sarah Moore and Abbie Eaton, racing in W Series and it is wonderful that support for pride will be shown across the drivers at the British Grand Prix. We are also very excited for the debut of Sarah’s fabulous new helmet!”
British fans can watch the fourth race of the 2022 W Series season live from Silverstone on Sky Sports Main Event, Sky Sports F1, Sky Showcase, and Channel 4 from 13.10 BST on Saturday 2 July.
