Silver Arrows team principal Toto Wolff hopes a deal can be found so that the historic race can continue to make history.
The Monaco Grand Prix, which has been on the calander every year, with the exception of 1952, 1953 and 2020, to some, it’s regarded as the jewel in the Formula 1 crown, this year, however with administrative management not up to scratch and the race being red flagged due to weather conditions, it did not reinforce the Automobile club de Monaco’s position in regards to current ongoing negotiations.
Wolff, believes that for the good of both parties a deal has to be reached
“I think there is a commercial debate to be held but both parties clearly will find a comprimise because we need Monaco and Monaco needs Formula One”.

The Netflix Effect
With the Netflix series “Drive to Survive” making Formula One more popular by the day, there is no doubt the Principality would like to preserve the race on the F1 calender. F1 boss Stefano Domenicali’s job of choosing locations and Grand Prix is becoming increasingly harder in an already crammed and exhausting season.
Should Monaco stay on the calender?
Improvements are in dire need in order for the track to become suitable for the new generation of cars racing today.
Wolff is of course in favour of keeping the sunny and glamorous track on the calender. Monaco is where the team boss and Wife Susie Wolff live with their young son.
“I am biased because I live here, I love the city, and what Monaco has to offer is spectacular.”
Mclaren team principal, Andreas Seidl also is a fan of the historic Grand Prix and believes it is down to F1’s CEO to make the final cut.
“For me personally, it is one of my favourite races here each year” said Andreas.
Hopefully a decision should be made soon. Would you want to see the race stay on the calendar?
