Sky Sports are reporting that both Niels Wittich and Eduardo Freitas have tested positive for Covid – 19.
The FIA have yet to confirm the news. It is understood that one of the race directors tested positive this week, which means they could be fit to travel to Florida for the Miami GP.
Formula 1 does not have another person nominated for the position as race director. Colin Heywood, the deputy race director could step into the role, however he has never been Formula 1 race director.
