Haas have announced that former driver Kevin Magnussen will return to the team to drive alongside Mick Schumacher for the 2022 F1 season.
And no you aren’t alone , the signing came as a bit of a surprise to us all , rumours of Giovinazzi and Fittipaldi being in the running gave us a fairly obvious solution to filling the seat , especially with reserve driver Pietro Fittipaldi taking over for the Bahrain testing this weekend.

It is however a welcome surprise and we all look forward to seeing Kevin back . At the end of the 2020 season it felt like Magnussen was leaving with some unfinished business, and I for one am very excited to see him back on track this year. Let’s just hope he doesn’t smash any more of Guenthers doors or the seat might be vacant again! The team principle is happy to welcome Magnussen back , saying “ Kevin was a key component in our previous successes” and that “ he (Kevin) will provide a solid benchmark for us with the ongoing development of the VF-22”
Kevin has also said that the chance to compete in F1 again was “simply too appealing to refuse” and he has thanked Chip Ganassi and Peugeot for releasing him from his contracts quickly and enabling him to take the Haas seat.
We wish Kevin the best of luck this season and can’t wait to see him back on track in the VF-22.
