With ongoing tensions between Ukraine and Russia on Thursday evening the FIA and key stakeholders decided it was in best interests and safety of all those involved in this sport to cancel the Russian GP for this coming season.

On Thursday evening Formula 1, the FIA, and the teams discussed the position of our sport, and the conclusion is, including the view of all relevant stakeholders, that it is impossible to hold the Russian Grand Prix in the current circumstances.
FIA ANNOUNCEMENT
This comes off the back of driver Sebastian Vettel yesterday announcing that he would not feel comfortable himself racing in Russia.
