F1 has confirmed that the Bahrain International Circuit in Sakhir will continue to host a Grand Prix until 2036!
This new 14 year deal is one of the largest F1 has ever given and is currently the longest contract of any track on the F1 calendar.

The Bahrain circuit has thrown up many classic Grand Prix since it’s introduction in the 2004 F1 season. Most notably the “Duel in the Desert” between Nico Rosberg & Lewis Hamilton in 2014; as well as Sergio Perez’ maiden F1 victory at the alternate-layout Sakhir Circuit in 2020.
We hope to see many more intense desert battles in the future, starting with the opening round of this season’s Championship on Sunday 20th March.
