Dan Cammish had a brillaint race one at the BTCC finale at Brands Hatch as he led every lap on his way to a 16th career touring car victory.

Cammish cruises to victory
Cammish was rather untroubled at the front of the field. He inherited first position after polesitter Daryl DeLeon pulled into the pits at the end of the formation lap. Cammish fended off pressure from Chilton and controlled the race. Cammish banks cruical points for himself in his bid for third place in the drivers championship with Rowbottom and Hill struggling. But also crucial points for NAPA racing to cover off the strong performance from Team Vertu.
Ingram on the brink of BTCC title number 2?
Tom Ingram took a huge leap towards the 2025 drivers title as he managed to secure fifth position in race one. Ingram had a brillaint start which saw him climb two places on the medium tyre. Sutton managed to climb from 11th to 9th place but it leaves him with a mountain to climb in the remaining two races. Ingram sits 37 points ahead of Sutton meaning Ingram just needs to finish eight position or above in race two to be crowned champion.
Disaster Race One for BMW
On a track that they looked so strong on earlier in the season, BMW struggled in race one. The trouble for the team clearly isn’t pace as they had two cars in the quick six yesterday and Daryl DeLeon claimed his second pole position in a row. However, DeLeon would not take the start as he pulled into the puts on the formation lap with engine problems. His engine is being replaced and if he can get out for race two, he will start from the back.
Jake Hill also had a torrid race one in his last BTCC weekend. He made a good start but his race unravelled at Hawthorns as he went off with a puncture. Hill imbed back to the pits and managed to recover to 19th position just ahead of Aiden Moffat. Rainford was the exception in the BMW camp as he came home in fourth position overall. Rainford looked certain for a podium before he was pushed wide by Adam Morgan at Surtees. He also took the lead of the Jack Sears Trophy with Daryl DeLeon dropping out on the formation lap.
