It is understood that Mclaren has entered into talk with Mercedes with a view to take over the Formula E outfit.
Mercedes announced that they would be withdrawing from the all electric series at the end of the 2022 season.
McLaren are interested in taking over the team, with discussions intensifying over the last month. With the team taking on a customer partnership with Nissan.
Although talks between have increased this is one of several options for the Mercedes team.
McLaren have also not ruled out entering their own team in Formula E, with Zac Brown commenting that a decision on potential Formula E involvement “probably late in Q1”
