It has been known that there would be two seperate tests at Cataluyna and Bahrain prior to the 2022 season, however Formula 1 has just announced the dates and finalised the details of these tests.

BARCELONA- CIRCUIT DE CATALUYNA

FEBRUARY 23-25

The pre-season test at the Spanish track, will be a non-televised, no spectator event, however Formula 1 confirmed that there will be some content and best lap times of the day.

The main purpose of the event is to allow all teams to perform a “shakedown” of their new cars, this will be especially helpful for the teams due the changes from the new rules that will debut in 2022.

Bahrain will hold the traditional pre season test before hosting the season opener

BAHRAIN

10-12 MARCH

The second of the two tests will take place at the Bahrain GP track, which will also be the venue for the season opener, this will be more of a traditional test with full TV coverage and F1 graphics.

this will be the first time that Formula 1 fans will have the opportunity to see the new cars in action for an extended period of time. it will give us a chance to see who looks good, who may have dropped off the pace compared to the pervious season .
