That’s the tricky bit. Sergio Perez has also been heavily linked to the Cadillac seat. Depending on which rumour mill you tune into, he’s either in pole position or already half committed to a move to Alpine.
Could Cadillac be eyeing both Bottas and Perez? Possibly. It would give the American team two well known, reliable names to lead them into uncharted territory. Although, there’s been talk of Cadillac also chasing a young American driver to fill one of the seats.
And if that’s true, then Bottas and a rookie starts to sound like a more likely combo.
Still Waiting, but the Signs Are There
No one’s holding a contract in front of a camera (yet), but the clues keep stacking up. Bottas hasn’t been shy about his desire to race again. He’s still fit, still sharp, and still clearly got the racing itch.
