F3 Feature Race | 2025 Bahrain GP | A Masterclass Victory from Cârama

Pole-sitter Gabriel Câmara delivered yet another stunning drive to claim his second win of the season at the FIA F3 Feature Race 2025 Bahrain GP. Callum Voisin followed in second, while Red Bull junior Tim Tramnitz completed the podium after an impressive recovery drive from 13th.

The Brazilian dominated a race packed with wheel-to-wheel action, strategic duels, and a little drama across the field. With his win, Câmara not only took the top step of the podium but also sent a clear signal: he’s the man to beat in this year’s title fight.

It’s Lights Out!

Under blazing skies, with 22 laps and 119 kilometres of racing on a hot and grippy track, the 30 cars were ready to go. The race was held on Sunday at the Bahrain International Circuit, where temperatures reached 45°C on the tarmac and 29°C in the air.

From pole position, Câmara launched well but lost the lead into Turn 1 to Callum Voisin, who got a better exit and swept ahead. Behind them, the opening lap was mostly clean—until Lap 2, when Ivan Domingues misjudged a move on James Wharton, lunging up the inside and colliding with the Australian.

Just one lap later, Câmara reclaimed the lead, but Voisin wasn’t done yet. The Brit struck back immediately, taking advantage of DRS and refusing to let the Brazilian escape. Meanwhile, Freddie Slater—one of yesterday’s Sprint Race stars—was forced to retire on Lap 3 and brought his car into the pits.

Race control briefly deployed the Virtual Safety Car to remove scattered carbon debris, but quickly resumed green flag conditions. At this point, Charlie Wurz held third and had the fastest lap, with his engineer urging him to push toward the leading duo. However, pressure from Noah Strømsted behind kept him busy defending rather than attacking.

DRS Battles and Big Movers

The battle at the front intensified as Câmara and Voisin exchanged the lead several more times, with the Brazilian eventually snatching back the fastest lap from Wurz. Despite being clearly quicker, Câmara couldn’t shake off Voisin, who benefited from the long straights and three DRS zones.

Ugo Ugochukwu put on an impressive show in the midfield, gaining ten positions in just five laps. Tim Tramnitz also surged forward, climbing six places early on.

Tuukka Taponen managed to pass Wurz for third, and Wurz was instructed to stay close and conserve tyres. But their scrap saw both drivers lose time to the leading pair, falling out of DRS range by more than two seconds halfway through the race.

Finally, Câmara broke free from Voisin’s DRS window, building a 1.5-second gap that began to grow steadily.

Midfield Duels and Close Calls

Further down the order, Inthraphuvasak pulled off a rare overtake in Turn 11, dispatching Laurens Van Hoepen for P16. Tramnitz continued his astronomical climb, overtaking Strømsted, while Giusti and Del Pino fought for the final spot in the top ten.

Roman Biliński, in a bold but clumsy attempt to pass Inthraphuvasak, ran off the track and destroyed a speed board—an incident quickly flagged for investigation. A few corners later, Noel León and Brando Badoer clashed in a close call that forced Badoer off the circuit too.

Soon after, León found himself in a four-car fight with Inthraphuvasak, Badoer, and Van Hoepen. He held his ground with a clever move, but the Thai driver ultimately passed him again.

Final Laps and a Flawless Finish

In the final five laps, Tramnitz overtook Wurz while Nikola Tsolov joined the battle, eyeing the same position. Towards the back, Matías Zagazeta had a brief off-track moment but recovered without incident.

At the front, Câmara was untouchable. With over four seconds in hand, he cruised away from Voisin, while the fight for fifth heated up. Tramnitz, in his Red Bull-backed entry, hunted down Taponen and executed a stunning move around the outside to claim third—a remarkable drive from deep in the grid.

Two laps from the end, Strømsted and Wurz went head-to-head for sixth, nearly making contact. Strømsted voiced his frustration over team radio, accusing his Trident teammate of being overly aggressive.

As the race neared its conclusion, Mari Boya passed Del Pino to break into the points after a long chase. Wurz’s tyres fell off dramatically; a complete disaster as Giusti, Boya, Ho, and Del Pino all passed him, dropping him out of the top ten despite an early run in podium contention.

Naël and León made contact at the back but continued without issue. Meanwhile, both Ugochukwu and Inthraphuvasak received track limit penalties in the closing stages.

Crossing the Line

Câmara crossed the line of the Gabriel Câmara dominates the F3 Feature Race 2025 Bahrain GP with a masterclass win ahead of Voisin and Tramnitz.with more than six seconds of margin over Voisin, delivering one of the most commanding victories Formula 3 has seen in recent years. Tramnitz completed the podium with a stunning charge through the pack, while the rest of the field fought fiercely for every point.
